芽茶は緑茶の製造工程で余った芽先の部分を集めたお茶に抹茶を混ぜております。
比較的安価ながら一級品のお茶の味に引けを取らないコスパの高いお茶の種類です。
緑茶の製造工程で最初に作られる荒茶を仕上げる時に出る細かい茎や芽、粉などの出物をふるい分け芽先の部分を集めた物が芽茶です。
芽茶は丸々した小さな茶葉で短時間でさっと入れると、爽やかな味わいが楽しめるお茶の種類です。
特徴は、芽茶の元となる芽先の部分は成長途中であるため、旨味が凝縮され色や香りが濃厚であるのが特徴的です。
水色は濃い緑色で細かい葉が沈殿しており少し濁った色になります。

芽茶は、茶葉の見た目が丸くてコロンとした形状をしています。
